My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms, while clean, were old-fashioned and in need of modernization, with issues like peeling wallpaper and a moldy bathroom blind. However, the room was very spacious despite being dark due to poor lighting. The service was a mixed bag, with a lovely breakfast attendant but unhelpful overall. The location was convenient, offering easy access to surrounding areas, but the dining experience left much to be desired with poor-quality food. Despite these shortcomings, the hotel had some positive aspects, such as its great location and spacious rooms.

7.4/10

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the location was very convenient for my business travel and the dining options were excellent, there were some issues with the room and a few missed opportunities in terms of service. The value for money was reasonable considering the overall experience.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was much smaller than what I expected for an executive suite. Additionally, there was a noticeable stain behind the wall-mounted TV. However, the view to the roof of another building wasn't ideal.
Service
7.0
The service was generally good; the staff, especially the attentive waiter, were friendly, helpful, and polite. However, there was a delay in response when I had to be summoned with a buzzer, and housekeeping stopped their service earlier than expected.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was fantastic for exploring the high street with its shops, cafes, and restaurants, as well as the nearby woodland and duck pond. It was also very convenient for public transport, though the view of Wembley Stadium could have been better.
Dining
9.0
The dining experience was a highlight of my stay. The breakfast and evening meals were very good, especially the juicy steaks. However, the lunch options were lacking.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered a great range of food, including some surprisingly good dishes, making dining a pleasure. However, there was some room for improvement in terms of room amenities and modern facilities.

When I arrived, the room was incredibly hot, but thankfully it was heated and not cold. The strong smell of a cleaning product was a bit off-putting though. The service truly stood out with exceptional, polite staff who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome.

Rooms

The dining experience was good overall, with some hiccups due to what seemed like a staff shortage, but the delicious and valuable food made up for it.

The hotel is promising but needs improvement. The rooms were clean and had all the expected facilities, yet they were quite noisy due to nearby disturbances. The property shows signs of being developed for B&B, creating an untidy environment around the building. The rooms, though dated, were adequate once switched from a cold one.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were clean and had all the expected facilities, but noise from adjacent guests was a downside.
Service
8.0
The service was attentive and prompt, especially when relocating us to a quieter room. The staff seemed overwhelmed but were trying their best to satisfy guests.
Location
7.0
The location was convenient with easy access to nearby attractions like Gerrards Cross, Denham Village, and Beaconsfield. However, the noise level was noticeable, especially in August.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was satisfactory, but improvements could enhance the overall quality of the food and service.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel's facilities were sufficient, but the overall tidiness around the building needs attention.

The hotel offers fantastic family accommodation with separate areas for kids, although opening windows for airing is advisable. The service is excellent, including assistance with taxi bookings and attentive management. The location is unbeatable for exploring the high street and easy access to public transportation, though some areas are dated. Dining provides good value for money, especially for all-you-can-eat options.

Rooms
8.0
The room at the front directly opposite the entrance was fantastic for families with its own separate area for kids. An electric heater was a nice touch, but opening the windows for fresh air before arrival would be ideal.
Service

The staff were excellent and very helpful in ensuring a pleasant stay. Food was good quality and value for money, with the management handling issues professionally.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location is superb for exploring the high street and nearby attractions. Close proximity to the train station for easy access to London is a major plus, despite some dated areas.
